This module equips Emergency Response Team members with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely perform rescues in confined spaces. It covers hazard identification, risk assessment, rescue techniques, use of specialized equipment, and compliance with legal and safety standards. The course emphasises teamwork, communication, and adherence to rescue protocols to prevent injury or fatalities during confined space incidents.

Emergency Response Team members assigned to confined space rescue duties.
Health & Safety Officers and Emergency Coordinators.
Supervisors and managers responsible for confined space entry operations.
Anyone involved in emergency planning for confined space work.

Pre-requisites for joining this course: Completed Mod1 and Mod 2, Previous competency in Low/Med/High cfs.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

Select and use appropriate rescue equipment and PPE.

Communicate and document rescue operations for compliance and improvement.

Assessment Method:

Written Assessment: Multiple-choice and short-answer questions on confined space hazards and rescue protocols.
Practical Assessment: Hands-on confined space rescue exercise using equipment.
Continuous Assessment: Participation in group discussions and scenario-based drills.
