This training course is aimed at the following:
- Emergency Response Team members assigned to confined space rescue duties.
- Health & Safety Officers and Emergency Coordinators.
- Supervisors and managers responsible for confined space entry operations.
- Anyone involved in emergency planning for confined space work.
Pre-requisites for joining this course: Completed Mod1 and Mod 2, Previous competency in Low/Med/High cfs.
Course Content:
The course covers the following elements:
- Introduction to Confined Space
- Hazards in Confined Spaces
- Risk Assessment & Permit to Work System
- Rescue Planning & Procedures
- Rescue Equipment & PPE
- Communication & Coordination
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this module, participants will be able to:
- Identify confined space hazards and apply risk assessment principles.
- Explain legal requirements and permit-to-work systems.
- Select and use appropriate rescue equipment and PPE.
- Execute confined space rescue procedures safely and effectively.
- Communicate and document rescue operations for compliance and improvement.
Assessment Method:
- Written Assessment: Multiple-choice and short-answer questions on confined space hazards and rescue protocols.
- Practical Assessment: Hands-on confined space rescue exercise using equipment.
- Continuous Assessment: Participation in group discussions and scenario-based drills.
