This training course is aimed at the following:
- Emergency Response Team members assigned to height rescue duties.
- Health & Safety Officers and Emergency Coordinators.
- Employees working in elevated positions or supervising work at height.
- Managers responsible for fall protection programs and emergency planning.
Pre-requisites for joining this course: Completed Mod1 and Mod2, Working at heights, Previous competency.
Course Content:
The course covers the following elements:
- Introduction to Working at Heights
- Risk Assessment & Height Rescue
- Fall Protection Systems & Equipment
- Rescue Planning & Team Coordination
- Post-Rescue Actions
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this module, participants will be able to:
- Identify hazards and assess risks associated with work at height.
- Select and use appropriate fall protection and rescue equipment.
- Execute safe rescue techniques for casualties suspended at height.
- Communicate effectively and coordinate rescue operations.
- Document rescue activities and apply lessons learned for improvement.
Assessment Method:
- Written Assessment: Multiple-choice and short-answer questions on height rescue principles.
- Practical Assessment: Hands-on rescue exercise using fall protection and descent equipment.
- Continuous Assessment: Participation in group discussions and scenario-based drills.
