Aims:

To give the participants the skill and knowledge required to operate an MEWP safely and effectively.

Course Content:

Course Objectives

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

Carry out pre-use checks
Refuel/recharge MEWP’s safely
Operate a MEWP safely, reducing the risk of damage or injury to operators and pedestrians Use safe operating techniques
Correctly position MEWP’s in relation to task requirements
Identify hazards associated with the use of MEWP
Identify the maximum load that the MEWP will support

Course Content

Introduction to course
Introduction to MEWP
Safe operating practices and safety video
Elementary operation
Explanation, demonstration and guided practice in the correct procedures to adopt when operating an MEWP
Examination (written and practical)

Certification

On completion of the training, a Shorcontrol Safety Certificate will be issued, which is valid for 3 years.
