    Introduction

    This Safety in Excavation with Trench Boxes and Vertishores will help to fulfill the knowledge and awareness training requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work act 2005 and the Safety, Health and Welfare Construction Regulations 2013 and other relevant legislation.
    This programme is also designed to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), construction industry and other relevant bodies.

    A lot is covered in a short period of time on the programme and will require commitment and dedication from the participant. The programme involves a lot of interaction and requires participants to involve themselves in the practical exercises.

    Entry Requirements
    This programme is aimed at learners aged 18yrs or over and must hold a level 5 qualification or equivalent. Recongition of field experience, min 2 years inhouse training and expertise will also be taken into consideration(Subject matter expert, training, mentoring or coaching in commerical or voluntary sectors for a min of 3yrs). Shorcontrol reserve the final decision in selecting learners for this programme. To ensure learner suitability. Shorcontrol Safety have created an application form which must be completed prior to commencement of the programme. (TRA-FM-042- Training Delivery and Evaluation Application Form).
