Aims:

This course will provide delegates with the competencies needed in inspecting plant, including relevant legislation, responsibilities, inspection procedures and reporting method


Course Content:

The training is intended for those from a relevant engineering background with several years’ experience of plant maintenance, intending to be nominated by a company or organisation as a competent person to inspect plant within that company or organisation. the overall aim of course is at the end of the course, the delegate will be able to refer to relevant legislation, areas of responsibility, inspection procedures, inspection methods, recording inspections, certification and defect reports. The training objectives are to ensure that at the end of the course delegates will have an understanding of; Safety-Outline of PUWER regulations-Outline of LOLER regulations-Areas of responsibility-Inspection of mechanical equipment-Inspection of hydraulic equipment-Inspection of lifting Equipment-Practical Inspection exercises-Recording of inspections-Certification-reporting defects Training consists of a balance between practical exercises and classroom tutorials Delegates must come from a plant background and be working with plant on a day to day basis. this course will add to competency and for filling in GA 1 forms
